The Basics
Our venue for the festival is the Minneapolis Center For Performing Arts, 3754 Pleasant Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55409
At this ADA accessible venue in the heart of South Minneapolis, we’ll rub shoulders with other artists and enjoy an eat-together play-together festival ethos. Get ready to play in dance studios and the Center’s full-featured blackbox!
Blackbox Theater Space
This year, at Make a Scene we’ve got access to CFPA’s professional blackbox theater. This 36’ x 51’ 1900 sq. ft. open performance space has a sprung dance floor, with optional marley coverage. Scenarios can take advantage of custom theatrical lighting, LED fixtures, and a built-in audio system.
Sunlit Dance Studios
Beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, lots of natural light. These spaces include floor to ceiling windows, and flexible table and chair options.
Improved Ventilation
Since 2020 CFPA made adjustments to their building’s ventilation and air changes per hour to protect artists and patrons alike.
Craving More?
Here’s a link to CFPA’s detailed breakdown of their spaces. We’ll be in 112w, 205 and 305.
